What is an Economizer / What does an Economizer do?
Economizer is not only an energy saving element in a system, but also a heat transfer surface that increases the installed capacity. When added to the system, the amount of investment per unit of heat energy produced is reduced. By reducing the flue gas temperature, the excess air in the flue gas is cooled and expelled. In this way, the efficiency loss due to the increase in the excess air coefficient is significantly compensated.
Heat recovered from flue gases discharged from the boiler to the stack;
Feed water economizer, when it is added to the boiler feed water,
Domestic Water Economizer when water is supplied to the plant for purposes such as service water, bath - shower, process washing, etc,
When the burner is used to preheat the combustion air or to heat the ambient air, it is called an Air Heater Economizer.
Economizers can be manufactured in the form of coiled tube bundle, straight tube bundle, spiral tube bundle, depending on the application.
